NaughtyPod Launches Token-Based Gallery Service

LONG BEACH, Calif. — NaughtyPod.com is offering a new service for the online adult community that allows performers to post pictures on a central website and receive payments when customers look at them.

Based around something called “Pod Points,” the site operates on a token-based business plan where customers purchase the points and then expend them by viewing NaughtyPod-hosted galleries and video clips.

Each Pod Point has an estimated worth of about 10 cents, according to NaughtyPod.

Adult businesses can upload their own content to the site, assign different point values to each content set and earn up to 90 percent of the accumulated balance of Pod Points.

“The ways that an adult entertainer can benefit from NaughtyPod.com are numerous,” said Jeffrey Merza, NaughtyPod’s director of marketing. “It’s ideal for someone who hadn’t launched their own website, but would like to make a profit with the content they have.”

NaughtyPod also has benefits for preexisting websites, according to Merza.

“It’s just as fitting for an established website," Merza said. "You can offer viewers a sample of your website, without the risks of giving users full access to your website for a trial period."

Content hosted on NaughtyPod cannot be downloaded, but any clips purchased with Pod Points can be viewed an unlimited amount of time for 72 hours.

The new service also features an internal messaging system, rating a bookmarking capabilities, category and keyword searching and statistics tracking.
